TOMRA Sorting Mining’s history began in 1993, when Commodas applied their core sensor-based technology to a mining application, separating Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) from other matter. The sorters automatically removed grey and dark rocks from the bulk feed, achieving excellent results. In 2006, Commodas joined the TOMRA Group, which built on this legacy of innovation.
